Duke Global Policy Summer Program in Geneva, Switzerland Application Deadline

The Geneva Program has run for over 20 years and allows students to earn 2.0 transferrable Duke credits through taking part in an intensive course week in Geneva, Switzerland.

Students participating will enroll in one of the following tracks:

  1. Global Health
  2. Humanitarian Crises, Refugees, Human Rights
  3. International Trade Policy (new for 2024!)

Each track typically enrolls around 15-25 students and is taught on site by renowned Duke faculty. The course itself includes site visits, guest speakers, and other experiential learning opportunities with additional professional development and recreational events outside of class time.

Beyond the course itself, the Geneva Program provides an outstanding opportunity for formal and informal professional development and networking with officials from intergovernmental organizations in the international hub present in Geneva, Switzerland (e.g., United Nations, World Health Organization, International Organization for Migration). Participants also have the benefit of joining the Geneva alumni network of over 700 individuals around the world.

The 2024 intensive course week runs from June 24-28.

Please note that the priority deadline for applying to the Geneva program is Friday, February 2, 2024 by 11:59 PM EST and the final application deadline is Friday, March 1, 2024 by 11:59 PM EST. Students applying by the priority deadline will receive full consideration. Applications received between February 3 and March 1 will be considered if space is available.
