COVID-19 Student Resources
Below are resources available to all Global Studies students as we deal with the impact of COVID-19 in our courses, across our campus, and throughout the respective communities we call home. Apart from the resources available below, please know the faculty and staff of the Curriculum in Global Studies remain available and committed to your holistic well-being and success.
The Student Care Hub is a place to find out more information about financial resources, academic support, and wellness information. The COVID-19 Student Care Hub is available to ALL students.
Undergraduate, graduate and professional school students who need financial assistance due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 should request support from the Carolina Student Impact Fund.
Counseling and Psychological Services(CAPS)
We understand that mental health can be challenging throughout these times. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is available to make appointments via Zoom to help you deal with this stressful time. Open Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
Campus Health is offering limited in-person appointments. Please call (919)-966-2281 to talk to a Campus Health staff member prior to making an in-person appointment. In-person and telemedicine appointments available. Open Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
The Learning Center is offering online peer tutor or academic coaching sessions, connect with STEM or ADHD/LD support, or join a virtual coaching group. Click here to schedule an appointment with a peer tutor and to see what courses are offered.
The Writing Center is up and running online. They’re offering online appointments via Zoom as well as the ability to submit drafts for feedback. Go to the Writing Center’s homepage to access these services.
