William McCants: “The Rise of ISIS”

William McCants, a leading scholar on ISIS and counter terrorism will present on the “The Rise of ISIS.” McCants is a fellow at the Center for Middle East Policy and director of the Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World at the Brookings Institution. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Johns Hopkins University and is a former senior adviser on violent extremism to the U.S. State Department’s Office of the Coordinator of Counterterrorism. McCants is a leading scholar on ISIS, and recently published a book, The ISIS Apocalypse, on the subject this past fall. The lecture will be followed by a question and answer session.
