U.S Department of State Whitehead Conference: Applications due

September 9, 2016

Have you ever wanted to learn more about a career in diplomacy? Or how to contribute your ideas to critically important foreign policy issues? If so, I encourage you to take advantage of a scholarship opportunity. You can apply for a scholarship to attend the Discover Diplomacy: America’s Diplomats in a Changing World conference. The conference will be hosted by the Department of State’s U.S. Diplomacy Center on Wednesday, October 26 in Washington DC.

The conference is organized by the U.S. Diplomacy Center, the first museum and education center dedicated to helping the American public understand the critical work done every day by American diplomats. In order to reach students from across the country, the Department of State is offering a limited number of scholarships. Scholarships will cover round-trip economy class equivalent transportation to Washington DC, 2-day lodging costs, full entry to the Discover Diplomacyconference, and a private reception for scholarship winners. Scholarships are highly competitive.

If interested, apply by submitting an application package to your regional Diplomat-In-Residence, Jasper Daniels by September 9, 2016. Please address any questions to the DIR email address:
