Towards a Liberatory Global: Writing Workshop
November 28 @ 11:15 am - 12:30 pm
The Carolina Seminars event series returns for a second year this fall with a compelling lineup including roundtable discussions, guest lectures, and an in-depth writing workshop.
The theme of this year’s series will be “Towards a Liberatory Global: Building anti-racist, feminist, and decolonial understandings for the global.” Events will explore decolonial theories and methods in different parts of the world.
Join on November 28, 11:15am-12:30pm for a writing workshop led by celebrated author Dr. Rebecca May Johnson.
Dr. Rebecca May Johnson has published essays, reviews and nonfiction with Granta, the Times Literary Supplement and Daunt Books Publishing, among others, and is an editor at food publication Vittles. She earned a PhD in Contemporary Literature from UCL in 2016. In December 2020, Johnson was awarded a Society of Authors grant to support the writing of Small Fires, her first book.
