The Transatlantic Relationship and American Diplomacy

European Horizons at Carolina and the Center for European Studies will be hosting Rebecca Neff, Deputy Director for Western European Affairs at the U.S. State Department for a talk entitled: “The Transatlantic Relationship and American Diplomacy” on October 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the FedEx Global Education Center in room 1005. Neff has overall responsibility for advancing U.S. policy priorities with France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Malta and the Vatican.  From February to July 2019, she served as Acting Director, supervising a team of 20 and providing U.S. policy guidance to the UK, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg in addition to her normal portfolio. She will be giving a public talk on the state of Transatlantic relationship and its current challenges, as well as her work as a diplomat, followed by a Q&A. Refreshments from Mediterranean Deli will be served.
