Sustaining the Momentum of Anti-Racism in Business
April 9 @ 10:00 am
The ‘Sustaining the Momentum of Anti-Racism in Business’ symposium is brought to you by students at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and NC Central’s School of Business for a singular purpose, to address inequities in corporate systems and the role we can play as conduits for change. Amidst a global pandemic, the country experienced months of social unrest in 2020. Young people from across the globe rose in solidarity to bring attention to systemic issues that continue to sully the lives of black and brown people. Marches and protests were ignited by the unjust killings of George Floyd, Breanna Taylor and other black people by police. Demonstrations resulted in the removal of offensive historical symbols, a call for companies to adjust insensitive branding, and corporate initiatives to combat racism.
Join us to:
- Raise awareness of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
- Learn how to handle difficult situations.
- Combat racism in the workplace and beyond.
