Professor Marvin Sterling (Indiana University) will present “On the Politics of Presence: Afro-Asia in the Age of Black Lives Matter,” moderated by Diandra Dwyer (UNC alumna, animator, and filmmaker in Tokyo). Part of the “Blackness in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies” Speaker Series, presented by the UNC Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, supported by the Carolina Asia Center and the Institute for African American Research.
