Native Narrative Tour
November 20, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeThe mission of The Native Narrative Tour is to tell a story of American Indian presence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill by highlighting the historical and contemporary experiences of Native peoples on campus, in the state, and by shaping a vision of inclusivity for the future. Through narratives, we hope to educate both Native and non-Native people about American Indian people who were here before the University was built, the Native people who have made an impact on campus and in the state, and increase the visibility of Native people at UNC.
The first Tour will be held on Nov. 20, 2015. After that, the Native Narrative Tour will be offered the 3rd Friday of the month, when classes are in session, from November to April, or by special appointment.
The tour typically lasts 60 minutes and begins at the UNC Visitors’ Center and ends at “The Gift.”
