Logistics: The Sinews of War and Peace

November 15, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

We would like to invite you to an exciting panel co-hosted by the Institute for Defense and Business (IDB) and the Triangle Institute for Security Studies. This is the second annual event and you will have an opportunity to engage with senior leaders with 30+ years in the military on UNC’s campus. t is commonly accepted that the limits of war are defined by logistics. That said, the full scope of its influence is not always fully appreciated. This panel discussion will feature five distinguished strategic leaders and logisticians, three of which are currently serving as Executive Fellows at the IDB. They will discuss the role played by logistics in war and peace, focusing on four areas that have traditionally been of key concern to the Triangle Institute for Security Studies (TISS): Civil-Military Relations (to include civil support and Peace-Keeping missions), Intelligence, Energy and Security (to include Climate Change), and Non-Proliferation.
