Disrupting Hate: Building Community to confront Anti-Asian Racism
April 14, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Following the recent killing of eight people, most of them Asian women, in Atlanta, and a surge in anti-Asian violence during the coronavirus pandemic, we invite our community to come together in solidarity. Join us April 14 at 5:30pm to learn more about anti-Asian racism and ways that as individuals and as a community we can support our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
Panelists will include:
- Dr. Heidi Kim of the UNC Asian American Center,
- Dr. Yoosun Park of the Smith College School for Social Work,
- Will Dudenhausen of the Dispute Settlement Center.
This event is co-sponsored by the School of Social Work Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the UNC Asian American Center, and the Jordan Institute for Families.
