January 24, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The UNC community gathers to experience Mike Wiley’s one-man production of Dar He: The Story of Emmett Till. This riveting play chronicles the murder, trial, and unbelievable confession of the men accused of Till’s lynching. Mike Wiley will lead a discussion following the show, drawing parallels between the race related tragedies of today, and the color lines and class systems that led to the gruesome fate of Emmett Till. Following the discussion will be a reception in the John Hitchcock Room. This program is co-sponsored by the Black Student Movement, Carolina Woman’s Center and the Campus Y.

This program is part of the 2016 UNC MLK celebrations at Carolina,
