Cultural Event: Urdu Majlis

Please join us on Saturday January 18, for the next monthly meeting of Urdu Majlis, the Triangle’s Urdu Literary Forum. This Urdu Majlis will concentrate on the life and works of Faiz Ahmad Faiz (1911-1984, Pakistani poet and author in Urdu. He was one of the most celebrated writers of the Urdu language in Pakistan. Among other accolades, Faiz was nominated for Nobel Prize in Literature and won the Lenin Peace Prize. Participants are invited to bring refreshments to share. This event is free and open to the public.
