Part of the Krasno Global Events Series, join Richard M. Krasno Distinguished Professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, Klaus Larres, as he moderates a discussion between:

  • Charles S. Maier is the Leverett Saltonstall Research Professor of History at Harvard University and author of Once Within Borders: Territories of Power.

  • Petra Goedde is a professor of history at Temple University and editor of the journal Diplomatic History and author of The Politics of Peace: A Global Cold War History.

  • Kristina Spohr is a professor of international history at the London School of Economics and former Helmut Schmidt Chair at SAIS. She is author of Post Wall Post Square: How Bush, Gorbachev, Kohl, and Deng Shaped the World after 1989.

  • Lorenz Luethi from McGill University and author of author Cold War: Asia, the Middle East, Europe.
