November 7, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

FREE with UNC One Card, $4 for general public

For 40 years, photographer Sebastião Salgado has traveled across the world and witnessed some of the major events of our recent history, including civil wars, starvation and mass immigrations. He is now exploring the world’s pristine territories, documenting wild fauna and flora and grand landscapes, as part of a massive photographic project as a tribute to the earth’s beauty.

The Ackland Film Forum is organized by the Ackland Art Museum and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Global Cinema Studies Program, with assistance from the Media Resources Center, part of UNC Libraries. A special thanks to the NC Latin American Film Festival and the Chapel Hill Film Society. This series is presented in connection with the Ackland Art Museum Exhibition Flash of Light, Fog of War.
