2015 Community College Global Education Symposium
November 11, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm$175
The annual Community College Global Education Symposium is presented by the World View program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This year’s event focuses on the theme “Global Human Rights and Social Justice.”
The highlight of this year’s symposium will be a discussion with Christo Brand, Nelson Mandela’s prison guard.
The symposium is held each November in Chapel Hill, N.C. and gives educators an opportunity to learn more about human rights and social justice resources and strategies for initiating global projects at their own colleges. Through keynote addresses and a variety of concurrent sessions, participants will hear from national organizations, university faculty and North Carolina educators who are bringing the world to their students. Explore themes of human rights, social justice and other significant global issues while learning about successes and best practices from colleagues. This program is open to community college instructors and administrators.
The cost of the symposium is $175 per person, or a team of four is $600. For each additional member to a team of four, the cost is $150. For out-of-state participants, the cost is $250. For more information and to register for this year’s symposium, visit the World View website.
