FreeJoin the UNC History Department and multiple units across campus for the 12th Annual African American History month lecture by Dr. Bettye Collier-Thomas. Collier-Thomas is an award-winning author and researcher who specializes in African American women’s history, religion studies, civil rights activism, and electoral politics. Her talk will illuminate how memory and commemoration intersect to bestow meaning and relevance upon historical sites and events.
