Approved Spring 2017 Courses
All courses below are approved for credit toward the Global Studies major and appear in the Registrar’s course listings for Spring 2017. This list was compiled on October 18, 2016 and changes could occur in course offerings between when this list was generated and the start of the Spring 2017 semester. We cannot update this list with every course change that could occur so please make sure to reference the All Courses Approved for the Major page as well.
You must read this carefully:
Many departments have special topic numbers. All special topics classes require approval from Director of Undergraduate Studies in order to receive GLBL credit. Do not assume you will receive GLBL credit for taking a special topics class if you have not petitioned the Global Studies office. Petitions will no longer be accepted via e-mail and must be submitted through our new Course Credit Request System. This system also serves students seeking to request any other type of UNC course to count towards the GLBL major.
For courses taken as part of a study abroad program, please see the Study Abroad page.
