The Global Studies Poison Dart Frog Vivarium sits in the lobby of the Global Studies suite on the 2nd floor of the FedEx Global Education Center building.
It was built and created by Eli Hornstein (Robertson Scholar, Class of 2014) and mirrors the rainforest environment from which the frogs originate. All our frogs are domestically bred and non-toxic.
On display, we currently have:
- two brilliant cobalt blue poison dart frogs with black highlights
- two bumblebee poison dart frogs with vivid bands of golden-yellow and black
- three tinctorius dart frogs in bright blue and yellow, and
- six incandescent green and black poison dart frogs
The Global Studies vivarium is funded entirely with private monies.
